Roxanne Pallett
Roxanne Pallett was born in Carlisle, England on 26th December 1982. The 5ft 1” brunette, was raised by her brother and grandmother who introduced her to film and music from an early age when they would watch old movies and sing and dance around the kitchen. After leaving her home town, she continued her studies at Liverpool John Moores University where she gained a BA Honours degree in Media and Cultural Studies.

After also studying at Manchester School of Screen Acting, Roxanne then landed a development deal with a major London record label, where she spent time songwriting and recording.

After three years of auditions in both acting and music, Pallett turned down a record deal when she won the part of Jo Stiles in ITV's 'Emmerdale'. This would be the role that would launch her as one of the nation's most loved actresses.

With nominations for Best Actress, Sexiest Female and Best Story-line for her agonising role of femme fatale turned battered wife Jo Stiles-Sugden, Pallett proved to be more than just a pin-up for her audiences. She also showcased her vocal talent in 2006 on ITV’s ‘Soapstar Superstar’ and was the winner of ‘Celebrity Stars In Their Eyes’ as Gloria Estefan.

In 2008, Roxanne became an ambassador for Refuge, in light of her recent domestic violence storyline. She also supports Carlisle’s Eden Valley Hospice, Breast Cancer Awareness and the NSPCC.

After three years playing Jo Sugden from 2005-2008, she closed the chapter on her Emmerdale character to look to future projects. She credits the success she had to her loyal audience whom, she claims, brought her to life in believing in her.

In 2009, Roxanne competed in ITV’s hit Sunday night show ‘Dancing On Ice’, for which she was partnered with professional skating champion Daniel Whiston. Having never skated before, Roxanne did incredibly well and skated through the series with the most stunning and daredevil of routines, including being the only celebrity that series to attempt the terrifying ‘Headbanger’! After a short break when the show ended, Roxanne returned to her training and took part in the ‘Dancing On Ice Tour’ which saw her skating her way all around the UK.

Having recently filmed her 2010 role in Casualty, Roxannes’ obvious acting ability and stunning beauty will see her much in demand for the foreseeable future.

Roxanne Pallett is delighted to be working with Red Carpet and is now available for TV Work, Presenting, Hosting and Personal Appearances.
